Carleen Van Siclen receives first Distinguished Allied Health Educator of the Year Award at MCSHS Florida

Carleen Van Siclen received the first Distinguished Allied Health Educator of the Year (DAHEY) Award at MCSHS in Florida. The award recognizes those who empower students and provide unparalleled learning experiences.

Van Siclen is director for the clinical rotations for Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Laboratory Assistant, and Histology programs and clinical liaison for the MCSHS Medical Laboratory Science core program. She has more than 30 years of clinical laboratory science experience. She has coordinated about 80 student clinical experiences.

Van Siclen is an assistant professor of laboratory medicine and pathology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
