The MCSHS Career Immersion Program brought 36 Minnesota high school students to Mayo Clinic’s Rochester campus for a one-week career immersion into nontraditional health care roles. Students met health science professionals in many fields to learn how they contribute critical knowledge and expertise to a patient’s diagnosis, treatment plan and follow-up care. Ideally, these students will return to Mayo Clinic to study in a Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences program and become Mayo staff.
