Mayo Clinic names NP 2022 Faculty and Preceptor Awards

Mayo Clinic has named the 2022 recipients of the Faculty and Preceptor Awards for the Nurse Practitioner Clinical Education Collaboration.

To help meet the growing demand for nurse practitioners, Mayo collaborates with select regional nurse practitioner academic programs in a Nurse Practitioner Clinical Education Collaboration. Students selected for the program participate in clinical rotations at Mayo Clinic in Rochester and at Mayo Clinic Health System locations.

Preceptors and faculty members are an important part of the student education experience.

The award recipients, who are nominated by students, demonstrate these attributes:

  • Commitment to advancing the science of education for nurse practitioners.
  • Excellence and professionalism in clinical practice with patients and their interactions with students.
  • Creative and innovative approaches when creating teaching opportunities for students in the clinical environment.
  • Mentoring students and supporting their professional growth and development.
