MCSHSAA announces 2025 Recognition of Outstanding Contribution awardee
Christy Collins, D.N.P, A.P.R.N. (NP ’08), has been announced as the 2025 Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences Alumni Association (MCSHSAA) Recognition of Outstanding Contribution (ROC) award winner.
Dr. Collins is a nurse practitioner in neurology at Mayo Clinic in Florida and has been a Mayo Clinic employee for 24 years. She received her doctorate from the University of Florida in 2018. She serves as an assistant professor of neurosurgery and neurosurgery associate.
Due to her lifelong passion for neurosciences and dedication to her field, Dr. Collins has also received various other awards, such as the Allied Health Educator of the Year Award and Outstanding Course Director of the Year Award for her work in CME course offerings. She is also a Gold Quality Academy Award recipient and a Senior Fellow of the Academy of Educational Excellence.
Dr. Collins holds several institutional leadership positions at Mayo Clinic, including co-vice chair of the Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant (NP PA) Subcommittee and program director for nurse practitioner clinical rotations.
The MCSHSAA ROC award is presented annually at the MCSHS Alumni Association annual meeting and honors alumni whose contributions are exceptional in one or more of the following areas: clinical care, research, mentoring and education and humanitarian endeavors.
