Hannelisa Callisen, PA-C, is Distinguished Allied Health Educator of the Year, MCSHS in Arizona

Hannelisa Callisen, PA-C (PA ’13), Division of Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, received the Distinguished Allied Health Educator of the Year Award from Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences in Arizona.

This annual award recognizes a clinician who has made outstanding contributions to allied health education at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

Callisen, a physician assistant and assistant professor of anesthesiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, was nominated by colleagues who describe her as a passionate, innovative and gifted educator. They cited her ongoing commitment to teaching, curriculum development and coordination of educational activities in the Center for Procedural Innovation and the Simulation Center with courses in military medicine, critical care and pulmonary medicine.
